This Saturday sees Lewis Hutchinson in yet another money game, this time playing Matty Christopher at Birtley Snooker Club. Set at a minimum of £2k pot, the 2 players will be hoping they are the first one to reach 20.
With Lewis in a bit of form of late, coming off a 23-11 win against Alfie Powley, he will be hoping to continue his run of form and take home, not only the pot, but the pride. Lewis is not becoming a very experienced money player, and with other games against David Ball, Lee Boggie and even Ryan Clark(albeit with a start), he will be looking to use this experience against a very capable player in Matty Christopher.
Matty, on his day, can be unstoppable and when hes potting well, and things are going right for him, his natural game will flow and this could be difficult for Lewis to stop. What some may say goes against Matty is his temperament which can let him down at times. With a recent semi final appearance in the recent £100 a man at Premier Pool, he is certainly not short of practice. He also has 1 victory so far this year in money matches where he beat Mark Little 18-12 at Right on Cue
Both players are highly capable of walking away with this match, however I do feel this may be a tight affair. If Matty lets his game flow, and keeps his temperament, then the game could be his, however, if Lewis plays an all round game and frustrates his opponent then it could be victory for him to continue his rich vein of form.
This is due to start at 6pm, so why not head over to Birtley Snooker Club and show support for the lads, or alternatively Birtley usually have their stream on for money games. Addresses and other information can be found on our Birtley Snooker Club page
Good luck to both lads.
