Easter Weekend, brings more competition to the north east

Last weekends North East Tour was a great success and hats of to PoolMatchUp who brought together 57 players, and have created somewhat of a buzz in the NorthEast. Already I’ve heard many a pool player talking about their next event, and this is just fantastic to see and hear, so a massive well done to Mark, Darrin and the rest of those involved. Wardles also seen a pretty healthy number of 37 entrants enter their £5 blackball knockout, and again David “Razz” Leathead continues to bring the players together in well fought out pool competitions. Massive well done to all those involved, especially Brian “Buzzer” Halcrow taking home the £1000 north east pool tour winnings, and Aidy Daniel winning the Wardles competition.

Easter weekend, brings us lots of chocolate and plenty of pool once again with the first of the pool competitions taking place at Sky Lounge and their £5 entry pool competition with a very generous £200 added. Not only this, you can indulge in a quiet beverage or 20, with selected pints at £2 a pop. Why not head on over to Washington to start your weekend off in style. Dont forget the Anthony Joshua ad Joseph Parker fight will also be on and I believe Sky Lounge will be showing this too.

Sunday you can nurse your hangover, or why not go for a practice at one of the north easts top venues, and just chill out.  Or head over to another competition at Buzzers in South Shields. They are holding a £10 knockout for a maximum of 24 players, which will be in a group format, with races to 5, then 7 thereafter. This will be a great opportunity to get a good few match practice games, and also have yourself a perfect easter Sunday.

Come Monday, your probably going to be completely ruined if youve just done a 3 day bender, unless your like me of course and working nightshift for each one of them. Nurse your hangover, and have yourself a chilled day, with the champions cup, once again hitting our screens on freesports, where Luke Wrigglesworth takes on Harry Irwin and Ben Rowland takes on recent Scottish Open winner Jon McCallister. But you wouldnt want to watch the IPA surely? NorthEastPool will be bringing you the Consett Wednesday night league knockout cup final between Finnians B and Blackhill Club B, LIVE. Its 2nd v 1st in the league, in what is sure to be a close game. We will post details at a later date, however this will be on our youtube channel.

As you can see, this easterweekend in the northeast is certainly not a boring one and there will be plenty too do. just make sure you all behave yourself 🙂
